Pose Coaching helps you learn a few basic moves that your body is not used to doing. We do a brief side by side in the mirror and show you the difference in your face when we ask you to do something that feels awkward. That helps put you at ease in front of the lens, which is vitally important. After your session begins, things tend to flow naturally. Sometimes we do stop taking portraits when we see you are struggling with a difficult pose, or if we see a new way that looks good, like in the series of photos here. This two- photographer session was for capturing both Portraits and Candid portraits, plus photos like these. Notice how the Photographer, Nicole sees something she wants to capture and walks through a few steps with a senior portrait client. You can see Nicole's facial expression light up happy when she got her desired pose in place. I wasn't able to tell exactly which pose this was in the resulting photos, but that time series had many favorites.
